DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO (WBAP/KLIF) – A Douglas County Sheriff Deputy is dead and several others have been injured after shots were fired during a domestic disturbance call in a Denver suburb. The suspect is believed to be dead after being shot at by officers. The incident occurred at the Copper Canyon Apartments in Highlands Ranch, about 20 miles south of Denver. Residents in the area were ordered to shelter in place. The identity of the slain deputy and the suspect have not been released.
