FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Fort Worth Police Department is using a different tactic in its search for a petty thief who steals change from washing machines at laundromats.
The department released surveillance video on Monday that shows an unidentified white man trying to bust open two laundry machines in an effort to steal the coins.
Investigators posted a video titled “Welcome to the Laundry Thief Show” on the department’s Facebook page showing the suspect in action set to the music of the Benny Hill theme song.
The suspect has tattoos on both arms and was wearing a “Realtree” baseball hat during the theft.
According to the video, the suspect made off with $25 in coins.
