VIDEO: Survivors of Mass Shootings Nationwide Raising Money for the Victims of the Sutherland Springs Massacre

(WBAP/KLIF News) – The survivors of mass shootings across the country and their families are uniting to raise money for the victims of the Sutherland Springs mass shooting.

26 people lost their lives on Sunday when a gunman, identified as David Kelly, stormed into the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs and opened fire.

The group, organized by Anita Busch, launched a GoFundMe page with a goal of raising $300,000.

According to the page, the purpose of the campaign is two fold…to raise money and awareness about the painful impact of gun violence.

The message on the page reads in part:

“Those of us who have experienced a mass shooting are calling for anyone who wants to help the victims directly to take the lessons we have learned over 18 years from Columbine to Orlando. Our hearts are with the victims who are suffering so horribly with the shocking loss of life and injuries. Only the Sutherland Springs victims know what they will need to heal. Victims are grieving, in hospitals and in unimaginable pain. The costs are—and will continue to be—enormous, physically, mentally, spiritually and financially.”
