DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) — Americans are waiting later in life than ever to start a family. New data released by the CDC shows the average age when women have their first child is 28 years old. By comparison, in 2000, it was just over 24 years old.
One reason analysts think we’re waiting so long to have children is so that we may save up a “nest egg” beforehand. But how much savings is “enough”?
