“American Sniper” Widow Pens Letter to NFL

DALLAS, TX (WBAP/KLIF News) –  In the letter posted on her Facebook page, Taya Kyle shares her disappointment with the league and players over the “take a knee” protest.  The widow of a former Navy Seal, Kyle tells the NFL “Did it ever occur to you that you and we were already a mix of backgrounds, races and religions? We were already living the dream you want, right in front of you.” She goes one to says “You are asking us to abandon what we loved about togetherness and make choices of divisions.

Kyle adds “You dear NFL, have taken that. You have lost me here.”  In support of the foundation named after her husband, the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, Kyle told players “If you ever want to get off your knees and get to work on building bridges, let me know. “

Kyle’s husband Chris Kyle was a former navy seal depicted in the 2014 movie “American Sniper”.  He was murdered at a gun range near Glen Rose in 2013 and buried with honors at the Texas State Cemetery.
