Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police have released surveillance video of an attempted carjacking and robbery that resulted in the deaths of a homeowner, and one of his assailants.
On July 8, 2017, at approximately 12:18 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 4800 Simpson Stuart Road. A homeowner was arriving home and parking his vehicle when he was confronted by two black males wearing ski masks. The suspects shot the homeowner who has been identified as Cameron McDaniel, a Black male 41-years-old. Mr. McDaniel was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. One of the suspects was also shot and died at the scene.
