Attorney General Ken Paxton Joins Dallas County Voter Fraud Investigation

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has joined an investigation into suspicious ballots in Dallas County.

In last month’s election, the county sequestered 700 mail-in ballots cast in West Dallas and Grand Prairie.

One person has been charged with illegal voting and Dallas County officials said other charges may follow.

Paxton did not disclose what role his office will play but he said he will offer whatever help District Attorney Faith Johnson needs.

“I’ve assured her that she will have all the legal resources of the Attorney Genera’s office available to her to help conduct a thorough investigation,” he said.

Paxton said it’s important to uphold the election process to ensure the public’s trust.

“Nothing is more sacred to our democracy than the integrity of our voting process and my office will do everything within its abilities to solidify trust in every election here and around the state of Texas,” said Paxton.
