DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Salvation Army and Westlake Ace Hardware are coming together to provide relief from the summer heat to some DFW residents.
Westlake has agreed to participate in a fan drive by asking its customers to donate to The Salvation Army at the registers.
The Salvation Army’s Solomon Moriba says most of the fans typically go to the elderly, people with medical conditions or simply to those who cannot afford A/C.
“People actually get relief from the heat just by having a box fan in their homes when they could otherwise not afford it,” he said.
You can start donating Thursday through July 9th.
