DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Collin County – Four people were killed in a chain reaction crash that involved five vehicles in Collin County Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened on State Highway 121 at County Road 538 outside of Anna, Texas just after four PM.
Those involved in the crash have been identified. Abigail Kennedy, 15, Brianna Gesino, 15, Julie Trimble, 51, and Wayne Trimble, 51, died at the scene.
Nine other people were injured in the wreck and taken to nearby hospitals. Lonnie Haschel with the Department Of Public Safety said it all started when a car going Northbound on 121 suddenly slowed down and was hit from behind by a pickup. That car then was thrown into the Southbound lanes and caused additional crashes.
There is still no additional information on the crash investigation at this time.
