The Dallas skyline was lit up blue Monday night to honor local heroes.
In recognition of National Police Day several buildings showcased blue lights in support of local law enforcement. David Pittman with White Rock Partnership said Monday night was one of several days that downtown buildings will light up to honor police, firefighters, and members of the military.
“We will do it again in red white and blue for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July,” Pittman said. “And we will remember the Dallas Police Ambush on July 7.”
Pittman said there will also be events held around Dallas to honor local heroes between May 15 and July 7.
