DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas state lawmakers are reporting major progress Thursday in an agreement to fix the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings says the news follows a two-day meeting involving multiple public safety associations.
“This is not over. These are agreements in principles,” said Mayor Rawlings.
State Senator Royce West says most parties involved have agreed to concepts which provide the framework that will resolve major sticking points.
West says the next major step will be to draft language reflecting the agreements.
