DALLAS-FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) North Texans are another step closer to fast travel between the Big D and Cowtown. The Fort worth city council is moving forward with plans to create a high speed rail line to Dallas. It would be called the DFW Core Express and could get passengers from one city to the other in less than 20 minutes. Fort worth discussed creating a local government operation with Dallas that would own and manage the inter-city passenger rail service. The line may include a stop in Arlington. The Dallas City Council is expected to approve the idea by the end of the month. It will likely be another 6 years before you can buy a ticket on the train.
