DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Blue Bell Ice Cream saved the date — Monday May, 8 — to release one new flavor alongside the return of another.
The new addition to the Blue Bell lineup is called Bride’s Cake. It has an almond base with pieces of white cake and amaretto cream cheese mixed in.
Groom’s Cake is the returning flavor. It has a chocolate base with pieces of chocolate cake and chocolate-coated strawberry — along with strawberry sauce.
The company responded to a user on Twitter and said cookie dough would return later this year, but it later deleted the tweet. Blue Bell brought back “Moo-llennium Crunch” last week.
The company pulled its products off the shelves in 2015 after a listeria outbreak led to multiple deaths and illnesses across the country. It eventually re-released them, but another outbreak forced Blue Bell to recall its cookie-dough-based products last year.
