Shot Dallas Paramedic Still Critical but Improving

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas Fire-Rescue Firefighter/Paramedic is improving while hospitalized after being shot Monday.

William An remains in critical condition but Dallas Fire Rescue reports Friday that An is consistently improving.

According to a statement, An has gone from, “Incomprehensible indication of discomfort and fatigue to normal verbal exchanges, sitting upright and even the occasional laugh.”

An was shot by a man who police believe later took his own life. An had responded to a separate shooting in East Dallas before being shot.

An and his wife have a three-year-old son and are expected a second child.
