No change in American Airlines’ overbooking policy

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – American Airlines says it does not intend to change its policy on overbooking. The Fort Worth based company said Thursday it will continue to overbook some flights, and bump passengers if it needs to do so. However, American’s cross town rival, Dallas based Southwest Airlines, has publicly announced it will no longer overbook, and travel experts are saying it’s likely other airlines will be forced to follow suit.
