(WBAP/KLIF) – Senator John Cornyn had pleasant things to say about his colleague from Texas pushing an idea to fund President Donald Trump’s border wall.
Senator Cornyn said the proposal from Senator Cruz to use funds seized from drug lord El Chapo Guzman to pay for the wall was ‘ingenious.’
“Certainly the concept of asset forfeiture is not a new one but dedicating it for border security strikes me as an pretty interesting idea,” Cornyn said.
Cornyn stopped short of endorsing the proposal specifically but did say he would be all for using assets forfeited by a drug lord for increased security.
