(WBAP/KLIF) The American Airlines Center will host the Women’s Final Four this weekend. Brian King, the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency, says it’s big deal for the City of Dallas: “to win the event and to have it come to Dallas, it’s about a 30 million dollar impact on the city, over those days so that’s a pretty massive event.”
Many fans will travel to Dallas to attend the Final Four and King says it’s a must to make a good impression on the Dallas visitors: “This is fans coming from all over the country to see this event, so they’re out enjoying the city of Dallas, soaking up what we have to offer and we want to put our best foot forward”
(WBAP/KLIF) – A huge upset Friday night in Dallas at the Women’s Final Four Basketball Tournament. Mississippi State beat UCONN 66-64. That’s UCONN’s first loss in 111 games, and eliminates the Huskies from the tournament. Mississippi State advances to the national championship against South Carolina. That game will be played Sunday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
