(WBAP/KLIF) – A judge has ordered the trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton moved out of Collin County.
Paxton faces charges of securities fraud.
Prosecutors say he tried to convince people to invest in a tech company without telling them he would get a commission.
A judge has now ruled the trial should be moved out of Collin County.
Prosecutors say they would not be able to find a fair jury.
The judge also delayed the start of the trial until a new venue is found and denied Paxton’s request to dismiss the case.
Paxton filed an immediate motion of reconsideration saying there is no significant bias or preconceived notions about the case among potential jurors in Collin County.
