
DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Severe weather slammed parts of North Texas Sunday evening as large hail and a possible small tornado wreaked havoc on parts of Denton county. The Justin Fire Department reported of a possible small tornado touchdown. That storm also dropped a “massive wave of hail” according to eyewitness Shaun Dodge. Multiple reports were received describing damage to vehicles as tennis-to-baseball-sized hail hit portions of Denton County. A neighborhood near Interstate 35-E and Post Oak Drive received an exceptional amount of half-dollar sized hail which resulted in several downed tree branches.
