WBAP/KLIF (DALLAS) – Several Veterans came out to watch the Stars take on the San Jose Sharks as the Dallas Stars hosted their annual ‘Veterans Appreciation Night.’ Wounded veteran Cary Flat, however had a different experience, all thanks to the “Birds Eye View Project.”
Ryan Parrott founded the “Birds Eye View Project” with special events like this, in mind. Parrott presented Flat with a service dog named Patty. Knowing that the entrance for Patty had to be extreme Parrott said: “let’s go bigger and better!” Those who witnessed the presentation saw just that as Patty rappelled down onto the ice from the top of the American Airlines Center
“I think today is the day where people are really looking at it and saying – Hey, we definitely need to stand up and help our soldiers and first responders out.” said Parrott.
Veteran Cary Flat was able to take Patty home with him to start their new life together.
