Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) Dallas Zoo officials are mourning the loss of Kisutu the cheetah. In a Facebook post Wednesday, the zoo announced the 16 year old animal passed away peacefully. Kisutu was tied as the second oldest cheetah in the United States. Kisutu hasn’t been seen by the public in recent years. She’s lived behind the scenes because of her advanced age. The zoo says Kisutu’s legacy will live on through her offspring Bonde and Kilima.
