Roe v. Wade Death

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – The woman at the center of Roe v. Wade has died. Norma McCorvey was 22, unmarried, unemployed and pregnant for the third time when she tried to get  an abortion in Texas, where it was illegal except to save a woman’s life. Her case led to the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that established abortion rights. McCorvey later became an anti-abortion activist. A journalist writing a book about her says she died of heart failure Saturday at an assisted living center in Texas. She was 69.
