Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County Schools’ Chief Financial Officer abruptly resigned Wednesday. Alan King reportedly gave no reason for his resignation, and school superintendent Rick Sorrells issued only a brief statement saying “we are appreciative of his work to help Dallas County Schools.” King became the schools’ interim CFO in October. At last month’s board meeting he publicly expressed concern over a 42 million dollar budget shortfall, saying much of it was caused by a program to put cameras in school buses. King was scheduled to deliver another financial report to the board next week.
