Bedford (WBAP/KLIF) – A scam is working its way through Bedford. A number of residents say they have received phone calls from someone claiming to be with the Bedford Police. The caller claims to be raising funds for the department, and wants donations as well as personal information such as social security numbers, dates of birth, bank accounts, that sort of thing. The Bedford Police say it’s not them. It’s a scam. Their best advice is don’t give the caller anything. Hang up.
