FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) Hundreds of kids in Fort Worth can get their vision checked for free today (Friday). Dozens of eye-care professionals and volunteers will be on hand at the Tarrant County College Trinity River campus in Fort Worth. Organizers say children who are found to need glasses will get to choose the “coolest” frames on hand, and those glasses will be ready for pickup in a few weeks. To a child with undiagnosed vision problems, a pair of glasses can foster that child’s ability to read and learn, according to eye health professionals. Students must qualify based on need determined by a school nurse. The event is from 10:00 am – 1:30pm.
