Dallas Ft Worth International Airport (WBAP/KLIF News) – The USO Center at Dallas-Ft Worth International Airport is the largest in the United States, and Director Stephanie Melson says they’ll get 500-600 visitors on Thanksgiving Day.  She says they feed the troops 365 days a year, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are special days.

“We will be providing a traditional Thanksgiving meal, starting at 10:30 in the morning, and it will be catered,” said Melson.  “We have over 250 volunteers, and they take really good care of our service members.”

She says many of the troops who will be traveling on Thanksgiving and Christmas are very young, some of them only 18 or 19 years old, and may be spending their first holiday away from home.  USO Centers are places where service members and their families can go to get something to eat, grab a nap on a couch, watch a movie, and enjoy a little chit chat, or some friendly trash talking with their fellow soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines.
