Flower Mound (WBAP/KLIF News) – Flower Mound Police Captain Wess Griffin says good video and tips from the public led to a hit and run suspect turning himself in.

Griffin says a video of a car jumping a curb on October 15th, and hitting two women sitting at a bus bench, led to lots of calls from citizens.

“The video was of excellent quality, but there was no front plate on the car, so we weren’t able to ID a suspect,” said Griffin.  “So we released the video, through the media, and the public came to our aid.  We got several tips indicating it was the same individual.”

The women who were hit were treated and released from a hospital.

Richard Gledhill turned himself in at 7:00 this morning, after talking to an attorney…he’s charged with failing to stop and render aid and identification.  Griffin says if Gledhill is convicted, he could get as much as two years in prison for the felony.
