DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Dallas City Council will receive a report from the police department Monday on its response times to calls for help.
The numbers will show the average response time to an emergency call increased significantly in October.
Council has set an eight minute average time limit for response to shootings, stabbings and domestic violence-type crimes.
Police were averaging 7 minutes and 52 seconds until October.
In October, it increased to 8 minutes and 39 seconds.
The response time to non emergency calls is even worse. It was 67 minutes. It is now up to 80.
