Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – The Denton County Republican Party is calling on VIP power to help deliver the get out the vote message. Senator Ted Cruz told the party faithful the biggest reason to elect Donald Trump is the US Supreme Court.
“Every one of our rights; free speech, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, privacy, US sovereignty…they’re all hanging in the balance,” said Cruz. “We’re one Supreme Court Justice away from losing every one of them. You want to know that this election is about? That answers it, right there.”
Cruz stressed the importance of voting all the way down the ballot. He said it’s not unthinkable that a lot of state and local offices in Texas could go to the Democrats.
“It’s not just the top of the ticket, it’s not just for Congress, you look at races up and down the ballot,” he said. “It doesn’t take that many conservatives staying home, to suddenly look at an absolute disaster.”
Cruz shared the spotlight with US Rep. Michael Burgess and Texas State Senator Jane Nelson.
