SPCA, Ezekiel Elliott partner up for cheaper pet adoptions

spcaDALLAS (WBAP & KLIF News) — Dallas Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott had another big game in Green Bay Sunday, but Monday, he’s back in Dallas helping the SPCA reach a lofty adoption goal.

This month is SPCA’s “Dogtober” initiative, where it’s aiming to adopt out 500 dogs to make room in their shelters to help out with the South Dallas stray dog problem. All month, the cost of adoptions is slashed in half.

But Monday from 12:00-6:00 pm, Elliott is partnering up with the SPCA to provide $21 adoptions at its Dallas location, with Elliott covering the rest of the adoption fees throughout the day.

The significance of the number 21? It is Elliott’s jersey number with the Cowboys.
