DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas county is reporting its 12th case of the “Zika” virus so far this year.
Health officials say the 55-year-old patient was infected during a recent trip to Jamaica.
There have been no reports of “Zika” being transmitted by mosquitoes locally.
At the end of June, there had been 49-cases of “travel related” Zika in Texas.
More details about the virus and prevention are available at the Dallas County health department website, or at CDC.gov.
