Record Day Care Verdict

Day Care 1DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas family has been awarded $142 million dollars after the death of their child at an Oak Cliff day center, but it’s unlikely they’ll ever see any of the money.

Zac and Heather Lytle sued “All in the Family” daycare after their seven-month-old son died in 2014. Evidence showed the boy was tightly wrapped in a blanket during nap time. That’s a violation of published standards.

They initially asked for seven million, but the jury added another 135 million for “mental anguish” and “loss of companionship”.

The day care is now shutdown and didn’t have any insurance.
