DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas County District Attorney’s office has added another investigative wing. It is called the new Arson Unit dedicated to cases involving intentionally-set fires.
The Arson Unit chief is Gary McDonald who says in a statement that they are fortunate to be able to implement an arson prosecution unit in Dallas County as arson cases are some of the most difficult to prosecute though not impossible.
The unit is made up of five people and has partnered with the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives.
