DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Two seven-year-old boys are okay after being inside a SUV that was stolen early Wednesday morning outside a Dallas gas station and convenience store.
A grandmother had stopped at the “Fox” location near Northwest Highway to pick up some tacos. She went inside but left her vehicle with the kids inside running.
A man, thought to be homeless, ran up, jumped in and took off.
The suspect later crashed near Interstate 30 and Hampton Road. He fled on foot.
The two kids were taken to Children’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
