Granbury (WBAP/KLIF) – People are moving back into their homes in Parker and Hood counties, after last week’s flooding.  But the Red Cross says they’re going to wait a few more days before the close their emergency shelter in Granbury.

“We were talking to a lot of people who were just beginning to get back into their homes,” said Anita Foster with the Red Cross.  “So we just want to make sure that if anybody needs the shelter, that we keep it open.”

The shelter is at the first Christian Church on Highway 377 in Granbury.  Foster says they’ll be open until 9:00 Saturday morning…they had planned to shut down at noon Tuesday.

Foster says they’ll be offering case work, supplies, and shelter for those who still need it.
