LGBT Group Wants Dallas to Cut Ties with First Baptist Church

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) A local LGBT group is asking the City of Dallas to sever ties with First Baptist Church. The Resource Center says it is appalled at comments made by Pastor Robert Jeffress on talk radio program “Washington Watch” regarding transgender bathroom laws. Jeffress cleared up his point on WBAP’s The Chris Salcedo Show and said “Businesses or business groups that threaten to boycott states because they have passed bathroom protection bills or religious freedom bills are a greater threat to religious liberty in America than ISIS is.” Jeffress says any other wording is a misquote. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings’ office has not yet released a response.
