DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Dallas is amping up its efforts to combat the problem of stray dogs. Animal control officers are saturating South Dallas, concentrating on the area where a woman was mauled to death earlier this week. They are checking traps, canvassing lots, and talking to neighbors. They are also increasing patrols near the home of a pet owner who voluntarily surrendered several dogs following the attack. People in the area say they are glad for the boost in enforcement, but wish that it didn’t only come after the death of a neighbor. The pack of dogs involved in killing 52-year-old Antoinette Brown remain under bite quarantine.
