SAGINAW (WBAP/KLIF News) – A man accused of murdering a high school student from Saginaw is out of the hospital and behind bars.
Joel McCommons, 23, was injured in a shootout with police on Monday night.
Officers were at an apartment near the UTA campus to serve a warrant.
Arlington Officer Eddie Johnson was also injured in the exchange of gunfire. He has since been released.
Detectives in Saginaw plan to charge McCommons with the murder of Jordan Miles, 17.
He was shot and killed outside of his home last week, according to police reports.
Police said McCommons and Miles might have been arguing over some kind of “business transaction.”
