ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF News) – The City of Allen is celebrating the completion of a $4 million construction project that extends Montgomery Boulevard and connects Bethany Drive to US 75.
The roadway will make it easier to access the new Montgomery Ridge mixed-use development. The city is partnering with the Montgomery family and the Watters Creek shopping center to build the roadway.
“It gives the Watters Creek Subdivision on US 75 a north-south entrance. It also gives us another access down the service road to the Legacy entrance on US 75,” said Mayor Steve Terrell. “There will be about 60 to 70 single-family homes on various sized lots and two multi-family operations…It is one of those neighborhoods that will sustain the test of time.”
The city will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday morning.
Homes in the development will go on the market in the next several months.
