TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is happy with the outcome of a recent Spring Break sting operation.
TABC agents sent minors into retailers and restaurants to try to buy alcohol, the agency’s Chris Porter says almost all of the minors were turned away.
“More than 92% of the more than 1,400 retailers we visited across the state identified the potential sale of alcohol to a minor and were able to prevent it.”
Retailers who do sell to anyone underage can face a fine or a suspension of their liquor license.
