DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – At least three dozen people have applied to become the next fire chief in Dallas.
A search firm being used by the city will now start culling through the resumes.
The applicants are vying to replace Louie Bright, who will retire at the end of the month.
It’s unclear how many of them are from within the DFD.
If a replacement isn’t hired soon it’s expected the city manager will name an interim chief to temporarily oversea the 2,000 person department.
