DENTON (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – Investigators near Houston are working to see if a convicted kidnapper’s recent cooperation will help solve a 19-year-old case out of Denton.
20-year-old Kelli Cox disappeared in 1997. Her mother Jan Bynum hopes the investigation will finally lead to a resolution for the family.
“If not for Kelli, I certainly am optimistic that they can get resolutions for some other young ladies’ families who have been missing for some time,” Bynum said.
Bynum has been taking care of Kelli’s daughter who is now 20-years-old.
56-year-old William Reece, who has been convicted in a separate case, has been cooperating with police on possible other cases of missing women.
Reece has been a Person of Interest in the Cox disappearance since the late 1990s.
