ADDISON (WBAP/KLIF News) – It looks like police in Addison will continue to drive what most of us think of as “normal” patrol vehicles.
Officials have recommended the city purchase 14 new Ford Explorers instead of higher-priced luxury European models.
Bids were sought on five different vehicles: the Ford PPV, Chevrolet Tahoe, the Volvo XC-90, BMW X5 and the Audi Q7.
Some people expressed concern over spending additional money on the higher-priced models.
Council still has to vote on the recommendation, which is expected at the next meeting.
