MANSFIELD (WBAP/KLIF) – The Mansfield city council has “thawed” on the ideal of spending 12 million dollars on a proposed indoor ice rink.
Last week, council members initially gave the green light for the 82,000 square foot facility at the corner of Highway 287 and Broad street.
But, they changed their minds over growing concerns that the Mansfield school district would have to pitch in almost two million dollars.
The project was to have been a joint venture between the city of Mansfield, the school district and the Dallas Stars hockey team.
