Rowlett Police Name ‘Person of Interest’ in Woman’s Murder

ROWLETT (WBAP/KLIF News) – Authorities are looking for a convicted sex offender in connection to the November murder of a woman in Rowlett.

Jesus Emmanuel Trevino, 30, is wanted for questioning in Laura Grillo’s death.  The 37-year-old was a mother of three and a former volunteer with the Rowlett Police Department.  She was found shot to death in the kitchen of her home in the 8200 block of America’s Cup after dropping one of her children off at school.

Detectives said Trevino was convicted of child sexual assault in Tarrant County in 2008. He served time in prison and was later deported to Mexico.

According to detectives, Trevino returned to the Dallas area and was employed by Grillo’s fiancé.

Police believe Trevino is on the run and are asking the public for help in finding him.
