GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – A woman is facing intoxication manslaughter charges after Garland police say she struck and killed a person standing by a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of LBJ Freeway.
53-year-old Rhonda Anderson of Mesquite was jailed under a $100,000 dollar bond.
Police say she was drunk when she drove off the freeway near La Prada drive late Saturday night and struck 22-year-old Clifton Curtis of Mesquite. His vehicle had broken down. Curtis died at the scene.
Anderson was booked into the Garland detention center.
