Dallas ISD Tests Air Quality at Elementary School

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – It will be business as usual Monday at an elementary school in Dallas, despite health concerns.

District employees spent the weekend monitoring the Lakewood Elementary building after complaints from parents and school administrators about a rash of illnesses.  Students and teachers complained of headaches and nausea on Friday.  Air quality testing didn’t show anything abnormal.

The 65-year-old campus had a recent history with carbon monoxide leaks.

Dallas ISD is planning to spend more than $12 million on renovations to the school.
