Man Shot, Killed After Standoff in Parker Co.

RENO (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas Rangers have been called to oversee the investigation into the death of a 32-year-old man from Parker County.

Police went to a home around 7:15 p.m. Thursday after repeated 911 calls about a man firing a gun into the air.

When they arrived, officers said Ronnie Pardon retreated back into the home and refused to come out.

After nearly three hours of negotiations, investigators said Pardon emerged pointing a rifle at officers.

They shot him several times.

He died at Harris Methodist Hospital.
