Martin’s career in Sales and Marketing spans over 35 years. He started his career with NCH Corporation in Irving, Texas. After record-setting performances in sales, he was promoted 3 times in 2 years to Regional Sales Manager with over 100 salesmen and an annual budget of 7 million dollars.
 

Martin was recruited in 1972 to be National Sales Manager of Starr/NBC Radio Division. His responsibilities included 10 radio stations, 50 salesmen and sales managers with an annual budget of 25 million dollars.
When Starr was sold in 1976, Martin started Martin Birnbach and Associates, a recruiting and search firm.
 
After 31 years as a recognized recruiter, Martin became involved in conducting seminars, teaching sales and management techniques using neuro linguistic technology, and is a sought-after personal consultant for those needing assistance in career planning. He also has been host of KLIF Radio’s “Jobs & Careers” show since December, 1989.
 
Martin has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, and was a regular feature on KXAS Channel 5 News for over three years. He has authored the best-selling video “Winning the Job You Really Want”, numerous job information articles for the Wall Street Journal, the Dallas Business Journal, and had a two year column called “Job Talk” in the Dallas Times Herald.
 
Martin also believes in giving back to the community. He has for over 5 years served dinner and held job seminars weekly at the Salvation Army.

Originally from Miami, Florida, he is a graduate of the University of Miami (BBA Marketing), and an active alumni and great fan of the national champions, the Miami Hurricanes. Additionally, Martin attended languages institute training with the government and was a serving member of the United States Air Force. His hobbies are jazz music and travel.
