Dr. Gary Lacefield is an Assistant Professor at the School of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Strategic Studies at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.

He is also the Director-Mediation, Arbitration, & Forensic Studies Institute and directs the development of the Institute to provide alternative dispute resolution courses leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Institute will offer certificate programs in conflict resolution methods including mediation and arbitration. The Forensic Studies includes the study of fraud and other criminology related issues.

Dr. Lacefield is also the President at CityVision Services which is a 23 year old non-profit with a focus and charter to help families protect their housing rights under the Fair Housing Act. CityVision Services helps consumers understand their Fair Housing rights and help with the preparation and filing HUD complaints to protect their ability to obtain and retain housing. Our expertise addresses all critical areas associated with Fair Housing related regulatory matters. CityVision Services can assist consumers with writing, evidencing, and filing a Fair Housing complaint to protect their civil rights.

CityVision Services provide Fair Housing and Fair Lending Education and training for Consumers and the Multifamily Industries and has expertise in Fair Housing which encompasses the practical application of the Fair Housing Act’s laws as well as an insider’s understanding of how HUD processes the complaints within their administration from the submission of the complaint through investigation and ultimately the negotiation process.

Dr. Lacefield also serves as CityVision Services Mediator Conciliator and works with HUD or the Respondent to negotiate a resolution for the complainant who has suffered from a discriminatory housing practice
